Legends of Slots: what a week with it actually felt like

I'll be honest, I almost skipped Legends of Slots. Casual tap games tend to blur together for me. But I put it through our usual process — a full week, on two different phones — and it earned a spot in my rotation, mostly for reasons I didn't expect.

The appeal is how low-effort it is in the best way. You tap one big button, the reels spin, and symbols fall into little themed collections you're working to complete. It's one-handed and you can play it while half-watching a show. There's a surprising amount of care in the animation and the sound — the reels have a nice weight, and each new theme you unlock comes with its own look and music.

On battery it barely registers. On my older test device I ran it for an hour and the phone stayed cool, which is rare. There's not much in the way of settings to fiddle with, but the game is so lightweight it doesn't need them.

Is it deep? No. Legends of Slots is a wind-down game, something you reach for when you want to switch your brain off for ten minutes. For that specific job it's genuinely good, and the collection system gives you just enough of a thread to pull on to come back the next day.
