Emberfall Chronicles
Emberfall Chronicles is the kind of mobile RPG I keep hoping to find and rarely do. The combat is turn-based, so it plays fine in short bursts, but the writing is what kept me going. Characters have actual arcs, and the choices you make in dialogue nudge the story in ways you notice later.
The party system is where it shines. You pick four heroes from a growing roster, and they combo off each other — a tank that soaks hits, a mage that sets up elemental weaknesses, that sort of thing. Tuning your lineup for a tough boss is genuinely fun. Touch controls are clean, with big tap targets for skills so you don't misfire in a fight.
My one gripe: later chapters lean hard on grinding, and that's also when battery drain picks up because the battle scenes get flashier. Drop the graphics setting to medium and you lose almost nothing visually while gaining an hour of play. Worth doing.
